The door’s open – come on in!

On Saturday morning – after weeks of building and planning, contemplating and deciding – this, the Story Mining website, went live. I’m brimming with gratitude for all the help I received from my behind-the-scenes tech-genius, detail-oriented, all-around wonderful husband Scott, for helping me transform my vision into a safe and nurturing online home for Story Mining. It represents the culmination of years of untangling, unearthing, and rebuilding that has defined much of my life. I’m glad you’ve landed here – I hope you’ll have a look around at all there is to see.
What You’ll Find On This Site
Story Mining is the name I’ve given to a gentle method of reflection for women unearthing their true selves – after, or within, an abusive relationship that I’ve developed as a result of once surviving one myself. It’s about finding your way back to pieces of who you were, and forward into a self you never got the chance to fully become – sometimes both, in the same lifetime. That story is yours to claim, change or live into – the choice is yours.
A few of the places I recommend checking out around the site include:
The First Dig is free, and it’s the gentlest possible entry point – one reflection, no commitment, just to see if this is for you.
The Mini Dig is my first real offering: seven self-guided reflections, available now, built to meet you wherever you are – still inside a difficult situation, or finally far enough away to look back on it.
The About page holds my own story, told as honestly as I know how – including the parts that haven’t always been part of the public story.
The blog is where I write the reflections this work still stirs in me.
And if you’d simply like to stay in touch – no pressure, no obligation – there’s a quiet way to do that too.
Built with Intention and Care
Every choice that was made in the building of this site – the pacing, the privacy features, even the quiet exit button in the corner – was made with one question in mind: would this feel safe to a woman in a vulnerable position, emotionally and sometimes physically. Nothing here was built without deep consideration; it was built the way I wish something had been built for me.
If something on this site feels like it’s about you, it probably is. Take your time. Look around. You are held here.
Unearthing the gold in you. – Regina
