A Mini Dig Sampler

Experience a complimentary Story Mining prompt for yourself.

There’s something you’ve been carrying that doesn’t have a name yet.

Not the obvious things – the arguments, the walking on eggshells, the exhaustion that goes bone-deep. Those you know about. Those you’ve learned to manage, to file away, to get through.

This is something quieter than that.

It’s the feeling that somewhere along the way – gradually, without any single dramatic moment you can point to – you misplaced yourself. The person you used to be, who had opinions and instincts and an inner joy and a sense of who she was, seems to have slipped away. She’s still in there somewhere; you glimpse her in the mirror from time to time or you hear that familiar gleeful laugh. You can almost feel her.

But you’ve lost the thread that leads back to her.

That’s what this experience is for.

The First Dig is a single Story Mining prompt – one question, held in the same careful, witnessing space that the full Story Mining experience offers. There are no right answers; no conclusions you’re supposed to reach. Just you and one question; turn to whatever feels right to respond with – words in a notebook, a voice memo, a doodle, a few minutes of quiet reflection sitting with your eyes closed.

Nobody sees this but you.

Life moves fast and sometimes so furiously that it seems impossible to land in your own skin, take a breath and feel your feelings. Let’s sit and reflect on you for a moment.

When you’re ready –

Let’s dig.

The First Dig…

Think about what you believe. What you want. What you like, feel, hope for. So much of that, for so long, may have been shaped by him – his opinions becoming yours, his preferences becoming yours, your sense of what was okay to say or want passing through him before it ever reached you. Not by your choice; under pressure, and so gradually you may never have noticed it happening.

But your mind is yours; it always has been. And the fact that you’re here, reflecting, means it’s awake and ready to be heard.

Can you think of something you believe, want, or feel today that is genuinely, originally yours – not his or anyone else’s? And can you remember when you first realized you were even allowed to have a mind of your own?

Reach for whatever is nearby – a notebook, your phone’s voice memo, a napkin, the notes app. Or simply close your eyes and let yourself go there.

Take as long as you need.

If that question opened something –

If you found yourself realizing you’re not sure your mind was ever fully your own – or sensing, underneath everything, that there’s a you who never quite got to take shape – that’s Story Mining beginning to work.

The full Story Mining Mini Dig takes you further. Seven complete reflections that move through the whole arc – from how your own mind got crowded out, to what was done and how, to the self that’s still waiting underneath everything to be discovered and claimed.

When you’re ready to keep digging, it’s there for you.

And if you’d like a guide beside you for the journey – someone who has done this work herself and knows the terrain – I’d love to talk.

First conversation is always free.
